The Beach

Last year, a few co-workers stumbled upon a "beach" that they kept talking about, so a couple of weekends ago, we packed up the car, leashed up the dog, packed a picnic, and headed out to find it again. After some bumpy terrain, we found it...and it was amazing.

When I first heard about it, I was told that it was special because you experienced all the seasons in one spot, and wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what happened. There was sand, snow, water (that was freezing cold), hot winds, and mosquitoes. Out of the 4 of us, I was swarmed by bugs even though I was completely covered and covered in bug spray...and everyone else was fine. No fair!!

Since were out in the middle of nowhere, I let Pepper off his leash for a while and he had a ball exploring and enjoying the land as well. Thankfully I had him on his leash when a little bird came by, or else I'd have to explain to my husband that I lost our puppy.

It was a beautiful day with great company and perfect weather. It's one of those memories that make me so grateful to be here.

Thanks to my lovely co-worker for the use of his pictures! :)
